I was wondering if anyones knows of any good pub venues for England/Ireland world cup games on TV, in the Chicago/Milwaukee area. Does anyone have any plans or wish to meet up for the games? (at 4.30am!) Basically, looking for large, unruly crowd with which to celebrate or share in misery/disbelief/anger.

Any ideas?

I used to live in Milwaukee and suggest you call round some of the Irish Bars in town or the new English pub on Water Street. It's where the old McGuillicudy's was. I think it's called London Bridge. I stopped in there on a recent visit to Milwaukee and it was quite nice, the food was pretty good too.

twalton;

I live in Oak Park, Chicago, and if you do find a place worth stopping overnight and getting drunk to watch the games, let me know. Unfortunately, I work during the week so would only be able to make weekend games.

Let me know,

I live downtown in Chicago and found an Irish bar that was showing some of the footie...I'm off there tomorrow night (just for a fix of fish and chips). It's called the Irish Oak on N. Clark. As our match against Nigeria is at 1.30am though, I think I'll be tucked up in bed watching that one!

If - sorry - WHEN we get to the Finals, be sure to look me up. I'll deffo need to watch that one in a pub! grin
Keep me in the loop here. I live in downtown Chicago. Would love to meet up with some Brits to watch some weekend world cup games in a good Irish pub!
