I've just about calmed down from last night after watching the pairs skating final. How can these judges get away with this blatent misjudging? Everyone knew that the Canadians had the gold, even the Russian skaters looked embarrassed about it! What does everyone else think. Shoudn't there be an enquiry?
You are thinking the same as many other people I am sure, and I am glad to see that the Canadian couple are taking it well this morning.

My feeling on this is in the spirit of sportsmanship. The judges judged and the competitors and audience have to accept their judgment otherwise the Olympics would be full of people asking for second chances, (like Tonya Harding), 'recounts' etc. If it ends up being the case that one of the judges was being bribed or competitors were using drugs, that is another matter, but otherwise I think they need to accept the judges' decision and let it go.

I don't know what the judges were thinking. In my opinion (not that this is my sport of choice), the Canadians skated a better, more technical and fault free routine. The Russians were boring and not particularly more technical than the Canadian routine, they also had a fault (I think a hand was put down, but at least there was a loss of balance).

They were robbed!
