You are indeed a star Nigel. I normally listen to Virgin but I'm getting a bit annoyed with their Abacast crap they insist on loading if you want to listen in stereo. Might check out Capital sometime.
My best friend did a few stints Djaying for Radio Caroline. I got a mention every day. How it made me feel special.......... -?
I'm quite enjoying listening to some of the 70's and 80's stuff...and they don't talk all over the music like the DJs do in the US. Quite a refreshing change.
Back in the UK, I was always listening to the overnight shows, just something about late night shows that seem different - maybe it's the fact that the audience isn't going to be a big and therefore things are more intimate...hard to explain it.
Anyway, this is a great way to listen to overnight and breakfast shows without having to get up at the crack of dawn.
I have a cable modem and listen on high quality and the sound is great, very reliable connection and of course, if you email early, you have half a chance of getting a request. Maybe we should have a Britnet request assault on British radio ;)
Anyway, give it a try if you've had enough of the dross they have over here.

Yes Nigel , I have been listening to it since the spring, my sister told me about it .......love it D do you ever listen to the DJ,Mike Sweeney (loser baby) D
Not you Nigel , thats what the DJ says when the phone-in person gives the wrong answer lol
I normally listen to Virgin but I'm getting a bit annoyed with their Abacast crap they insist on loading if you want to listen in stereo.
Here's what I did to get around abacast -
In notepad cut and paste the following code (remove the #'s, they are just there so that the code doesn't implement here)
#<html>
#<head>
#<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
#<!--
#function launch(service) {
#window.open('http://www.smgradio.com/core/player/index.html?service=' + service,'VirginRadioPlayer','scrollbar=no,height=210,width=468');
#}
#//-->
#</script>
#</head>
#
#<a href="jlaunch('vr');">Listen to Virgin Radio</a>
#</html>
and save the page as radio.html (dont forget the .html extension) Save it somewhere you will remember it, then add it as a favourite.
Not only is this stereo, it will give you a feed up to 128 kb/s
Hope this helps :)
You know times are bad when the board owner gets his own post moved ;)
