Heard a very interesting discussion on a sports program today about some unesyness by some players in the NFL about the rising and rediculus pratice of *bringing god/jesus* into all and any aspects of the game . It appears that not only are some players *thanking the almighty * when they score a TD ,get a field goal, win a game ,ETC that its now in the locker room and players that arnt religious are being asked to lead in prayer ( what a croak of s**t ) and are made to feel uncomfortable when they dont join in the prayers before * or after *the game .. The NFL has no RULES or action about religion in the game ,its just something that has been growing like a desease with some of the stars of the game ,and the coaches are reluctant to stop it .. Another thing is of course that it is ONLY christian prayers that are being praticed and of course, there must be lots of players who hold other views or no view at all about christianity.Where in any other industry would this be allowed ??? In fact most companys ban any sort of religious or diety worship unless it is in the employees own time and purely voluntary .This onward christian soldiers fanatism should be nipped in the bud NOW
Well, being a Sunderland supporter, we need all the help we can get at the moment ... !
My only experience of Jesus at a footie match was down at Portman Rd on a few occasions. There was this one tall copper with a long gray beard walking the pitch before/half time; every time he passed the North Stand came the cheers. "Are you Jesus in disguise, Arrre youuu Jesus in disguise?” lol

About all religion has to do with sport I think....
