I recently arrived in the US in June, and so got the Inland Revenue to send me a tax rebate for earnings from April to June 2003, which they did. Hoorah.

Now though, they have sent me a self assessment form for the 2002-2003 tax year. Did anyone else ever have to do this?

My Wife, who is American, always had to fill in a IRS tax return while we lived in the UK, even though she wasn't earning any US dollas. Will I have to do the same for the Inland Revenue, even though I no longer make any UK pounds?

Thanks for the help.

GN
We have filled them in every year since moving here. They are very easy and only costs you the price of a stamp to do it. We had no income coming from the UK either. We just wanted to keep the doors open in the UK incase we went back. )
