I've noticed curry houses popping up all over. I'm sure theres one near to you. Plus, amurricans seem to think you're 'cultured' if you go for Indian food... smile

Umm, why not make your own?
It's not that difficult, and you can make it just how you like it...

The Tandoor grill in Rockville Center is very good and the owner is a gent.

A Chinese place would never have that phone number. Four is a very unlucky number for them.

Iain, do you live there? It's just near Garden City, isn't it?

I live in Long Beach which is not far away.
Rockville Center is very close to Garden City.
Here are some directions from Franklin Avenue to the Tandoor Grill.

There is a good pub in Hunntington called the Canterbury Tales, on route 110.
You are also very close to Panama Hatties, one of the best restaurants on Long Island.

I've heard about the good pub in Huntington but have never tried it.
I think the curry house I'm thinking of in Smithtown is actually nearer to East Setauket. We have never been to this one (only been to Sitar's). If you need the details I can get them for you, though.
Where in Huntington do you live, BB. We are in the township of Huntington by the way )

I've been to the Canterbury ale's in Huntington I like it, they do a few brit dish'es on the menu, bangers and mash, cornish pasties, shepards pie etc... Also have HP sauce if you ask for it, and a good selection of import beer. We live in Greenlawn.

Wow, you live in Greenlawn - we are just over Elwood Road!
Do you have children?
I love HP sauce. I take a bottle with me when we go out for breakfast! D
Definitely going to have to try that pub then. We have started to occasionally get scottish pies from the British shop in Port Jeff. they get the pies from Myers in NYC and believe it or not the Port Jeff shop seems to sell them cheaper than Myers!

They have HP sauce in Waldbaums in the international foods section. They have regular and fruity. Can't seem to find the curry sort though.

You can get the curry sauce from Fairways in Plainview )
Can't get the bbq HP though. We have to get that one from the UK.
