Do Leeds actually have any players left? Anyway - as a Liverpool fan I'm very happy - when he's good he's very very good. Not too sure about the two unknowns we bought from Le Havre (as if we need MORE strikers?) but buying Kewell is a great move for Liverpool. Of course that spelt the end for Patrick "my hair is soooo nice" Berger - decent player he was.
Who would you like to see moving?
I'd love to see a good permanent partnership. The likes of Rush/Dalglish springs to mind. It seems to me that managers are all too quick to try this combo or that combo that they don't give players time to gel. Saying that, I always thought Heskey was overrated and lazy.
Yeah, I don't rate Heskey too much either. Kewell is a brilliant signing.....won't want to comment on who I want to see move right now as I've pretty much lost touch with footie due to lack of cable and lack of wives understanding it's real importance to an ex-pat cry
Anyway, I'm a Spurs fan and I'll be interested to see how the new chap Postiga (or something...never heard of him before) fits in. I think one of our best players at the moment is Simon Davies and he'll only get better and better and probably end up at ManUre or ArseAnal.
Glad to have Berger. Pleased to have Sherringham(even at his age he's still class)
Don't want Anderton (he'll probably break again).I have suffered a lot of stick from Brit friends about the age of Pompeys team but there's enough youth there to learn from the experience of the "oldies".
I'll be sorry to see Merson leave if he does as he was a real star for us last season.
No comments from Scramble( or Moo) please about the Pompey first team being made up of Spurs rejects.i would like us to add a class experienced defender if possible

I think Steffen Freund is available, or how about Steven Carr or Chris Perry.
sorry, couldn't help it.
I honestly think Pompey will become one of those teams known as "everybodies second team" - they have some great players and Harry is a fan with everyone. Shame Prosinecki isnt there any more - him in the Premier league would have been something special. I think Merson is just doing his best to avoid the Premier League - he has gone on record saying the less media attention the better.
And yeah I think Berger will do well there - when he's on form he is very good indeedy. As a side - the few times I saw Todorov play for West Ham he looked pretty darn good - is he?
I think Portsmouth will still find it tough, but I'd rather support a team finding life tough in the Premiership rather than finding life tough in the second division.
I just read Liverpool got Kewell for 5 mill.
no wonder Leeds are skint selling players for dross like that.

Freund has gone and you're welcome to Perry (liability) but keep your hands off Carr.
Carr will be off soon enough - hilariously Arsenal will probably buy him. If he's anywhere as overated as Sol Campbell I'd sell him now. Never understood the whole Campbell thing - he's very avergae, and consistently crap for England.
Hoddle better do something this year otherwise they'll have to hire Ruud Gullit to tidy up the mess. It's a shame, Spurs have some good players, but Hoddle really likes to have hissy fit and annoy his players - usually the most consistent ones.
And Leeds are selling dirt cheap because they really have to. I think the fans have to accept that they spent too much and now they have to sell for whatever they can get. Who next? Alan Smith for 3 million to Blackburn? Robinson to Villa for 1 million!
Well, when I lived in England I was a Leeds fan, in fact I was a season ticket holder there for a couple of years. Since I moved to the states I have kinda lost touch with football and what news I have seen from Leeds has been dismal at best.
I find it pretty hard to get excited about Leeds anymore and tend to enjoy supporting my local baseball team more, (Arizona Diamondbacks) - never thought I would hear myself saying that!

yep...but it wasn't their choice. Kewell would've gone on a Bosman next year for nowt and he stated that he was happy to sit out the last year of his contract and do that if Leeds didn't agree to flog him to Liverpool.
Plus his agents got 2 million quid out of it, so Leeds only pick up 3 million. Isn't the transfer system a wonderful thing!
By the way, I'll be happy if Forest sign somebody this close season.
