..is leaving Chelsea! He is going back to Italy. He has been one of Chelseas best players over the last 7 yrs and I hate to see him go.
Wasn't she the South African runner?
grin
Well at least you didn't sell one of your best players to the team thats going to knock you out of the European Cup!

Whats with Bates selling the club to the Russian Mafia anyway? eek
Its time Mr Bates left the building, can the Russians be any worse?
you can't knock Ken Bates, bought the club for a quid and turned it into a multi million pound empire.
I bet the Oldham fans wished he'd stayed there instead.

Maybe you'll get Shevchenko to replace Zola .

I hear the club's being renamed Dynamo Chelsea

Yeah, I recommend signing young Mark Rawle from Southend to replace him....oh, too late he turned down the Premier League for third division Oxford.......lost out there mate... eek
What about that Russian guy that has bought Chelsea. He has bought 51% of the club and he has said that he will buy the rest of the club soon so that he has total control.
Then the next day he bids 35 million for alessandro nesta, he has given Chelsea or Himself depending on how you see it £200 million to reshape the squad!!!!

"it's really about having fun and that means success and trophies".

Chelsea is his toy and my toy was a little brum brum that did fall down dwe gwid, bwess my wittle heart.

I got the impression that Chelsea only started doing things when Matthew Harding put his money in
I agree with the Harding comment - but Bates should get some thanks. Though he was a bit dull firing Vialli - that didnt make alot of sense.

Bur yeah - the Russian guy is willing to throw his money around which is interesting because no other club can really. And maybe Chelsea would buy some of the guys fave homegrown players like Smertin, Onopko, Sychev - some real hard workers. And he already has his eye on a few Ukranians like Shevchenko (the best striker in the world if you ask me) Leonenko, and of course a whole bunch of other supposed targets - Viera, Henry, Davids, Kluivert, Joe Cole etc.
