Is it Newsworld International from Canada? The cable arm of CBC. If so, it's a good channel all round, and carries lots of news bulletins from overseas.

seems to me, we need Lee to answer that one.

Newsworld is the CBC cable only news channel and apart from showing BBC Worldnews at 6PM EST it has extesive coverage of world and Canadian news. It doesn't show ITV

It was neat, wasn't it, as it was just news from the UK. I dont know if it is a new format as it has been so long since I watched news from them. I'll have to forego Peter Jennings at 5.30 everyday now, this is much better grin

I realised when I watched again yesterday that you can hear the chimes in the background as on the News at 10 (or how it used to be, may have changed now). Its just so good to get all the little stories that we miss out on here. Has anyone else seen it yet?

I haven't remembered to watch this show - maybe I'll try today if I don't get distracted.
KWYM about getting the proper news bulletins, though. Last year during the World Cup, Fox Sports showed a half hour of Sky News - it was great to get just "normal" stories. Sky News also did an internet feed a couple of years ago and that was great too - you also got the adverts which was strangely fun.
I don't like BBC World news very much - I want to see news about Britain. It's good to be able to watch/listen on the web, although I only really get round to it if there is something major happening.

Sorry, I'm a bit late on this one. Without, I hope condradicting Keith, but there is a significant difference between the domestic CBC Newsworld which we get here and Newsworld International, which is partly owned by the CBC and partly owned by a U.S interest.
Funnily enough we don't get Newsworld International by cable in Canada, even thouigh it comes out of Toronto, so I can't judge it, although I hear it's very good and doing very well in this hemisphere.
Newsworld International may well carry ITV international news. (Or were you lot saying that it's the ITV domestic news you get?) Domestic CBC carries BBC World, but internationally they would become rivals, so ITV would be a more natural fit. .
This may have been brought up before, but I frequently watch domestic BBC-1 news on the BBC website, via Realplayer. It also gives you a side menu so you can click on stories that interest you. It's on the UK news page and it will either give you the cast at 1pm, 6pm or 10pm depending on when you access it (you can also watch the latest News 24 summary there as well). Also former Londoners may be interested in the fact that you can even access news for London and the south-east on the BBC's LDN pages. I'm sure there's other local/regional news you can look at as well.
I haven't tried on the ITV website. I'll have a look today.
Sorry don't have the URLS at hand but it's all pretty easy to navigate.
