Sad, I know but...

One of our local rock stations has recently taken to playing a cover of this Don Henley classic by the Ataris every hour and I have found myself compelled to turn the volume right up when it comes on the car radio.

I realise I need this track on CD (), but find the rest of the Ataris album (So Long Astoria) samey and unoriginal and prefer the DH original. I'm not over-keen on any of the DH albums that have this track either.

So my question is, does anyone know of any currently available good summer rock compilations that include the original Don Henley "Boys of Summer"?

Looks like you're out of luck. Just did a search for the song title and it only appears on Don Henley albums, no compilations amazingly enough.
You could always try the DJ Sammy version which appears on several dance CD's.

Failing that you can try one of the many napster like file sharing sites or the old favourite, a trip to the local library and a brief spin on a CD burner.
Yeah, I searched too. There must be a compilation somewhere, though -it's a classic and surely cannot die? lol

Have you heard the DJ Sammy version? I'd rather buy the Ataris and risk falling alseep to the rest of the album!

Thanks, though.
Well done monster - single-handedly keeping the record business afloat wink

Do you have a cd burner Monster? I've just downloaded it for you in case you don't. If you want to either post a list of songs to go on the same cd, or pm me, I would be glad to burn you a cd and mail it to you.

Thanks, morph -yes I do -is there somewhere I can download it from? I have never downloaded music before and when I searched for this track, I only came up with sites who wanted to charge to see if it was available ???
