Sounds like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire".
I found the British one much harder than the US version and wondered if questions were dumbed-down a bit.
Having said that, "Jeopardy" is pretty tough.

Yeah but that's because they have questions about state flags and minute details about the constitution or Abraham Lincoln's underwear. When Trebeck asks a question like "The disputed territory of Kashmir is in what country?" someone will inevitably answer Japan.......or Hawaii :lol:

But here's the thing about Jeapordy - all the contestants are given around 1000 questions to look through before hand, so it's not a total surprise to them when a category is announced - thats why some of them really can tell you what Abraham Lincoln's foreskin girth is and all that. Sure it's still impressive but if you have already seen the questions......

Hubby and I each scored 132.... I then went back and did the BBC one again and got 113. I am not sure they were on the same scale, but I found the questions fairly comparable.

Haven't watched it in some time but in the past, I've seen some pretty smart cookies on there and their knowledge of things outside their own borders surprised me.
Still, Mr. Bungle has shattered a few of my illusions with his revelation :smile:

Hmm... i dunno,
I got 126 on the British one and 122 on the American one. Mind you i was eating curry at the time of the American one so that could affect things ;-)
