Are there any nurses out here who were sponsored by a hospital and went out to America. OR are there any nurses who were sponsored through an agency out there who could tell me of their experiences doing eithier. I'm itu trained and was trainned in the u.k. There are many hospital and agencies here who are willing to sponsor nurses towards getting a green card. Which option is better.

Im nursing a itch right now .... lol lol
You meannies!

Welcome to Britnet, Wesley. Of the regular posters, I know of two nurses but one trained in the US and the other emmigrated to Canada. Rockgurl is a nurse planning to emmigrate to the US. But there may be more out there who just lurk...until now....?

Another member on another thread mentioned a board called AllNurses.com. Don't know if it's any use to you, but here is the URL http//allnurses.com/forums/index.php?s=517b282c7b57c6132b6bc1145cac9256
My wife is a nurse if that's any help to you....although she's American. As I understand it, Nurses here have higher training than in the UK and they have more responsibility and more pay. Not sure of the ins and outs but if you have any questions that she might be able to answer, I'd be happy to find out.
Hi wesley. Sorry I'm late! I'm an ICU nurse and I am currently being sponsored by an agency. It looks like I will be travelling in September. I recommend going through an agency because of the guarantees. The agency will sign a contract with you and pay for everything...legal fees, exam fees, flights etc. All you have to do is work an 18 month contract when you get there which is not a lot to ask, and then you get the security of a secure job. Please do email me if you have any questions...I'd be glad to help. rockgurl7@hotmail.com

Remind me again about learning more about a person - want to play doctors and nurses?

I am in a bit of a Dilemma as I have had an offer of a job through luck more than anything and did it all by myself. But i am with an agency, and they have been really helpful with form-filling etc, but I have heard rumours that they send you to Hospitals that the American nurses dont want to work. Dont know how true this is.
My dilemma is to i go ahead by myself or continue with the agency??? Still thinking about it while I wait to get my ATT to do the NCLEX!!

Sue cool
