We plan to leave the UK for the US in August, but my youngest son and partner are footie addicts. How many (if any) Premiership games are actually televised in the US - don't suppose anything as neat as Sky TV exists!! Personally, I don't give a s*** I hate the game!! But it would be good to know if there's any chance of watching the odd game.
There's some, don't know much about it, but just wanted to say hi! I will post a welcome in the main forum. smile
Depends where you live, whether you have cable or dish, pay per view etc etc

Try this

Depends on where you live. I subscribe to Time-Warner cable, and have the Fox Sports World channel. Lots of footie, though not as much as I would like. I watched my Wolves beat Reading in the playoff game live today, as Fox televise Sky games. There is a strong bias towards Man U and Arsenal, but there are a reasonable amount of games telvised here. They could always get out and play, there are over 30s adult leagues, and kid soccer is very strong here.
Fox Sports World carry the main live games as Sky but the timings might be a bit annoying as live in Britain is obviously ahead of the US by 5-8 hours.

If you get digital cable or satellite, you should be sorted but might have to use Pay Per View for some games.

I get by with Internet streaming commentary but this might not cut it for some I guess.

Congrats, if anyone deserves to manage a premiership team the Dave Jones is the man.

Hi Florence .
Tell the boys not to worry.
Fox Sports world gives a good coverage of the premiership or the EPL as its known here.
There are normally at least 3 games a week ,one saturday , one sunday and one monday. If they're not live then they're shown ajust after the game has finished in the UK. Coverage IS by Sky sports (Fox owned by Rupert Murdoch)and every day (a couple of times a day) the channel shows Sky sports news. They have also shown a couple of FA cup games from each round and some european games.
Go to http//www.foxsportsworld.com to see whats on.
Today for example they're showing the bottom of the table clashes
Birmingham v West Ham
Bolton v Middlesbrough
followed by the Man utd trophy ceremony and the Sky sports news.
Damn ... I wish i wasn't at work today
