You speak for yourself.
I couldn't care a jot about soccer, never did even when I lived there.
Andrew
Well I was going to keep quiet, as I know Utd fans are in a minority here, but it was quite an achievement, and at least now they'll have some silverware to bring over for the US tour.
Southampton for the cup!

Pah! I'm only interested in the real Football League. Couldn't care less who won the trumped-up premiersh** this year or any other.

Just as well seeing as Argyle will never get there
They might actually. Perhaps not on merit but on the fact that they are financially better off than many clubs, including some Premiershi*.
I realise we aren't a fashionable or massively successful club but if they ever made it remotely near the very top, their catchment area would dwarf that of many top flight clubs - Man. U excluded whose catchment area seems to encompass the entire British Isles, Asia and other Mancunian outposts I wasn't aware existed grin
I bet he'd rather be an Argyle fan that a Man U 'fan' who'd never even been to Manchester but seen them on the TV a few times  Good luck against the Arse in the FACUP.

there was a running joke doing the rounds that Man United should move to Milton Keynes instead of Wimbledon to make it easier for the United fans to make it to the games.
I'm not even going to get into the "real fans support their local club argument", but I have seen United at Old Trafford, and have supported them for 20 years now.

How many times has this happened?
You beat the team in the league and then go and lose in the cup final.
Happened between Man U and Liverpool this year.
I think Southampton will do it.
all the pressure is on the gunners.

Jim it is a nonsensical arguement, If I were to support my local team I would be a United fan. I grew up in Trafford. Actually I was a united fan in the 1980's (when they hardly won anything!) my granddad used to take me when I was a nipper. However they started to win and we couldn't get tickets, so we buggered off and took our money elsewhere.
If glory-hunting does exist, I am the opposite.
