I have a cup of weak, black coffee and two slices of toast with Brummel & Brown spread (thank you dna wolf!) and lashings of Marmite.
Him has coffee with milk and a bagel with cream cheese or a waffle with syrup.
Can't really get into bagels myself...
Do you all eat breakfast every day?
Stel.
Yes, religously.
We're up at 4.45am to walk Jack.
When we get back, and whilst E takes a shower, I'll prepare E's packed lunch.
Then we'll sit down to either cereal, *real* muesli, juice and coffee and on Friday's I'll make fresh breakfast burritos, with hash browns before E leaves for work at 6am.
Then it's off to the ranch for me at 7.30 to get *worked over* by 850lb of equine madness...
smile
I've never really got into a full or very healthy breakfast.
I generally have a mug of very strong French roast coffee - if I'm feeling energetic I make a cafe au lait. (Had it on my first trip to Paris, never looked back. North American coffee is dishwater. I regard the Starbucks movement as no more than someone at last having the courage to tell Americans that their coffee is ****e) Sometimes I'll have a cup of tea instead (Marks & Spencer's Extra Strong tea bags). Otherwise I often just have toast and marmite, or occasionally toast and peanut butter (with no sugar in it, which rules out most major brands of peanut butter). If I'm running into work I'll grab a cream cheese bagel. I don't like bagels that much, but I don't have a sweet tooth and that's about all there is. Muffins to me are like eating cake for breakfast and appeal of things like danishes completely eludes me.
On the weekend we'll often go out for brunch and have ommelettes etc. Occasionally we'll have a fry up, usually involving baked beans somewhere in the mix and fried eggs. Sometimes on weekdays if I want more than toast, I'll revert to primal British and have beans on toast.
My girlfriend sometimes has cold pizza in the morning, which looks good when she's eating it, but isn't really for me. I'm such a cheese addict, sometimes I'll just have a cheese sandwich for breakfast. Sometimes on the weekend we just both get out the cheese and some nice crusty bread and sit around indulging.
My lunch and dinner habits are somewhat healthier, but breakfast has always been a bit of a non-meal for me.
I usually have a couple of cold pop tarts and an apple crisp bar at work, washed down with half a bottle of water.
Sometimes my gf makes me scones with marmalade and clotted cream, or gingerbread.
Can't live without it.
Glass of orange or grapefruit juice absolutely essential for my morning well being
Then yoghurt or cereal (or both together)
Usually get a coffee when I get to work, but don't really need this, I seem pretty immune to caffene ???

I'm not a breakfast person, never that hungry or indeed awake, a mug of coffee will do, but since we had health reports done by the insurance company here, I try and make the best effort to eat cereal or toast...(health report berated me for not eating breakfast, took points off me lifespan for it an all, that soon got me whipping out the rice crispies  )
Usually for me it's
Glass of OJ (Healthy Kids)
Frosted Wheaties cereal & milk
2 fibercon
1 prenatal vit
1 omega3 fati acid vit (I think thats right)
Hubby
Glass of OJ
Weetabix topped with frosties & milk
Then coffee when he gets to work
pretty darn boring really.
But occasionally on a Sat or Sun morning, I'll attempt a full breakfast if I have everything in. razz
North American coffee is dishwater.
Thats funny -the tea is too. And the beer.
I have a pot of coffee and a couple of Marlboros. I really don't do well with breakfast, it takes me a few hours to feel like eating, y'know?
A pot of coffee and a couple of Marlboro's..bet you smell lovely in the morning dear grin lol lol
I've forgotton how good that first cigarette of the day is...
I used to smoke 40 a day so it would always be 4-5 cups of coffee and 4-5 ciggys before doing anything. Now I dont smoke, so I have breakfast instead - usually cereal. God I'm so damn healthy these days.....what I would do for a pack of John Player Specials right now.....mmmmmmm.
