Hey all,
Apologies if this has been posted b4. I am 29 and moving to the US on a green card in June. Should I bother trying to get hold of my medical/dental records and bring them with me or will I not need them?
It's not like I've ever had a lot done, or been seriously ill, so I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle.
Cheers
Gary

I guess that all depends on whether or not the Feds need your dental records after you been found decaying in the Nebraska Woods.
on a serious note
I got my doctor to send me my immunisation record from way back as a nipper, so when I had my medical with the INS over here I didn't have to have certain jabs.
If you've already done the medical then don't bother really.

I doubt that anyone will care about your past. The doctor and dentist will give you a full overhall when you first see them anyway, and will be happy with your own report of your history.
If you can get hold of vaccination records for your visa medical, you might be able to save yourself a couple of jabs.
Thanks guys,
I've managed to squeak through the medical already and have the green card, so from your other comments, it would seem as if I should quit my worrying!

You only need bother if you've had any ops/surgery. I had to get the record of my two c-sections and they charged me 50 quid! If I'd known, I'd've brought them with me. Mind you it still might have cost that much -the fees on forms to get the records seemed relevant to applications from within the UK too.
Mind you, we did find out that the surgeon who delivered Hector (4) was the husband of a good friend of mine and father of Hebe's (5) "boyfriend". We didn't know them then and like he said "it's a whole different angle on the friendship" eek lol
