Maczippy, found a recipe on the Waitrose website that calls for very strong flour high protein level (in the form of gluten),now I am thinking this might be bread flour over here, am I right?

Exactly, bread flour has a higher than normal flour gluten content.
If you lay your hands on flour made by the King Arthur Company you'll be especially pleased, but any bread flour will do.
