Not a good weekend for me so far .

MY team (Chelsea ) lost to Villa of all teams seriously hurting their chances to play in the champions league this year , but they are still 4 th in the premier a place they usually seems to end up in .

On this side of the ocean (Dcunited MLS)my american soccer team , after all the wheeling and dealing during the off season by ray hudson could,nt beat Kansas city last week and ive just finished watching them ech out a draw with chicago at their first home match this season .

Some of you Hammers fans (if we have any) will see a differant list of opponents next season .

the world is topsy-turvy, John.
Stockport won again this weekend! *LOL*

I think the Hammers are down. And isnt it odd how Liverpool (my team) are still being touted as favorites for a Champs League spot irrespective of their position?
Yeh. but thats because deep in their hearts everybody knows that Liverpool are the best!! wink
Yah .... and deep in their hearts they believe there is a easter bunny to lol lol lol lol lol
I think it's because Newcastle and Chelsea both have reputations for choking at the end of the season. Though with three points between the 3rd and 5th it's going to be an interesting end to the season.
Awwww, your team is 4th in the premiership and may not qualify for the champions league. Come on mate - try supporting a team in Division 3. We can only DREAM of being in 4th place in the premiership razz lol

I hear ya Adeshell........
Stockport county hold the following records........
1) lowest ever league attendence of 13 v Leicester.
2) They applied for re-election to the old 4th Division more than any other team of the 92 clubs.
3) The club knocked out of the FA Cup by more non league teams than any other.....

in 1996 we made the semi finals of the Coca Cola Cup (lost to Middlesborough - Ravanelli/Juninho et al) it was unbelievable to us, you lot even won it once.....but thats when you were good. We never been 'good'

Have Stockport ever been in the top division? I know they were up in Division One recently. How come only 13 showed up at that game? Was that one of weird games that they used to play in the afternoon on weekdays?!

I hear you.
And you are a true supporter of your chosen team ,so many fans jump on the *winning bandwagon* no chance of that with your club  .

However what frustrates CHELSEA fans is the amount of money spent on TALENT and the promises EVERY year only to end up 4/5 at the end of the season ..
i still love my team inspite ..

Look on the bright side

Your team can only get better , to fall any further down would be to vanish of the face of the earth

Soon to be the fate of Exeter City grin

The game was played at Old Trafford for some strange reason, and the fans were pretty ****ed off about it. And well, there was a protest and a boycott and only 13 people showed up to pay at the gate.

Only ever been in Div 1 (old Div 2) and highest we finished was 8th in 1998.

as for bandwagon jumpers JohnA, happens don't it. In the mid 80's I suspect there were thousands of fans of Liverpool who were born and bred in London.

Now I suspect the tables have turned and there are thousands of Arsenal fans who live in London too....

Ok maybe not the best comparison..

Was that including police and stewards? You'd think there'd be more Leicester fans than that at least.
