it has its moments, yeah on BBCA but I think it is a Brit version of Friends just more adult (sat in the boozer instead of coffee shop)
Jack Davenport was much better in This Life though.

it is a Brit version of Friends
You mean a Brit version of Friends, only funny...
I think it's very, very funny. The first time I saw it I dismissed it as a Brit Friends rip-off but it's different.
Jack Davenport is wonderful. The episode where he thinks he is strip-teasing in front of his girlfriend but (not wanting to spoil it for others ) er- may not be is great.
There was an episode on BBC America last night that I hadn't seen before and it was very enjoyable.
Sorry I don't think it was Jack Davenport I was describing. It was the actor who plays the character Geoff.
The episode where Geff had too many legs almost put me in hospital.....I think I pulled several muscles in my chest. smile grin
I think it's been given a much higher profile here (as on BBC America and BBC Canada) than in Britain.
I think it was on late night on BBC 2 there.
They're making an American version of it. Sounds like a mistake to me.
Did you get Dr. Terrible's House Of Horrible on BBC A? That was actually Steve Coogan. I thought it was great, but again in the UK it was shown late night on BBC 2. I thought it was much better than The Office. I don't mind The Office, but it's apparently HUGE over there. People must work in really dreadful workplaces if they relate to it so strongly.
Er- I'm rambling aren't I?

Yeh, it was on late on BBC2 and nobody really watched it, until the second series. Then everybody watched it but there was no re-run of the first series so nobody really understood it!!! ( no re-run thats amazing for the BBC!)
Great humour, but was on too late for a school night. Nice to be able to watch it again here.
Good point Lee - I was telling my sister in the UK about "Coupling" a while back and she had never watched it. When she heard how I liked it, she started to watch it and is a convert.
Trouble is, now she's seen the second series and I haven't although last night's was clearly a new one so catching up...
Its a great show - loved it when i was in the UK. And yes it has been bought by an American studio who are remaking it american style.
Oh ... we've already had the second series on BBC Canada. It's really good. Enjoy!
I was one of the few that watched the original series when it first came on over there. Me and my housemates loved it. So there! razz
I enjoy Manchild myself....anyone else?
Anyone seen previews for the American version of this show? Has 'disaster' written all over it... sad
