Okay, not major news. But for once I'm proud of something work has done smile (even if it is just Forest). Now if I can just get hold of the CEO and point him in the direction of the Kickers.
and Notts County to be sponsored by
Maid Marian Shell Station, Newark Road, Hucknall.
That's pretty cool - can you get any tickets for next time you head over there?
I quite like our sponsors, Ginsters. I suppose when someone sings "Who ate all the pies?", we have to own up now though.
Being an MLS sponsor they gave away DC United tickets last season. I dunno about getting Forest tickets when I go over there, I imagine there would be a lot of competition in the Nottingham office.
Since I plan on going at the end of next month that will be after the regular season.
Being a Derby fan I'll do no business with any company that sponsors F@#?$t mad
Breaking News...........
Everyone loves a grudge match. And that's what football fans can expect at the 29th Bayou Classic sponsored by State Farm Insurance Companies. Every year, the game is a sell-out, attracting more than 72,000 fans. It'll be another terrific game this year as Southern University Jaguars and Grambling State University Tigers football teams line up on the field of the Louisiana Superdome to battle it out!
wtf?
Thats the kind of stupid crap my company goes for.
I think I should point the chairman in the direction of Edgeley Park.
Oh, we have the
Capital One Bowl too. They really promote that over here but I couldn't give a flying monkey's. Although the college mascot competition on ESPN was a bit of a hoot.
yeah but at least the Capital One bowl gets decent college teams like my dear U of M while State Farm seem to go for the Grambling State University Tigers who on earth are they?
Also Beng do me a favour, if you send me a letter saying I am pre-approved? why don't you just send me the bloody card?
Heh! smile
Because pre-approved doesn't really mean that you're going to definitely get approved.
Guaranteed Approval doesn't mean that either.
They're just legal terms really.
And if we were in the habit of sending everyone we mail a credit card we would lose a lot of money very, very quickly.
actually Beng I went to the Dave Ramsey school of financial thought, and deteste credit cards, but I still have to try and flog them to my customers.
I just paid off the final amount owed on any of my credit cards yesterday.
Debit card all the way from now on smile
I don't blame you pilgrim, since working here I've realized what a rip-off credit cards can be.
The advantage is that I'm always able to tell the wife what the going rate is, which puts us in a powerful negotiating position with our Credit Card Companies (which aren't Cap1).
Excellent - used wisely, they are fine but it's easy to let things get out of hand.
Surprised to hear you are not with Capital One but then again, I hear all kinds of stuff about how they raise interest rates on people in good standing, because they see something on their credit reports from another card issuer.
Don't get me wrong, I think Cpital One are on the better, more ethical credit card comapanies. We (my wife and I) just have had no need for a new card since I started working here so we just stick with the old ones.
Whoa there, lads! -you're in danger of being relegated from the sports forum I reckon! lol
