Arsenal and Newcastle both out of the european cup tonight!
Just makes me very happy grin
And what makes it worse is Man Utd are still in the competition despite some appalling results.
Sorry guys, those two posts make me want to puke.
I am English, today I will support Liverpool against Celtic.
If by the grace of God, Burnley FC were ever in the UEFA cup I would support those idiots too even though I detest that team more than any other.
It is sad that you would rather have some foreign team win than a team from your own country.
But Manc, my team are still in it, which is why I was amused, especially by Arsenal lol
The ONLY time that my team Oxford United qualified for the UEFA cup was in 1986. And guess what? Heysels happened and English teans were banned from Europe. Grrrrrr... evil
I detest Burnley F.C. too.

Small world smile

Well, Jim Smith left Oxford to become QPR manager at the start of that season...and...we just happened to be in the Milk Cup final against QPR and Jim Smith. Maurice Evans was the Oxford manager and Malcolm 'Sheenie' Shotton was the Oxford captain. Turned out to be a 3-0 rout.

Best day of my life.....

er, except my wedding day.....of course

Being a Derby fan, I detest Notts Forest, and the b@$t@rd$ beat us again yesterday. What a happy day it was when Forest won the European Cup. Gregory ought to be sacked but they can't afford the million and a half payout. Looking forward to Div 2 next season.

My old Man is a Forest Fan. He was in Munich for that game where Francis headed the winner.
Please, I actually thought Stockers would do well this year after getting relegated from Div 1 last season. Life sucks.

Manc - get off your high horse mate - I meant that Man Utd didnt deserve to be in it, whereas Arsenal did. And I'm a liverpool fan so of course I'm grouchy. And of course I'll cheer on Man Utd if they are in the final. Other than that, cheering them on purely because they come from the same country as me is somewhat nationalist in my opinion.
European Cup draw has paired Utd with Real Madrid, and if they win that they play either Juve/Barca, toughest draw imaginable ?
My high horse?
can't I be on one of them little ones that Vegas wants to see so dearly?

How can you say Man Utd don't deserve to be in it when they won their first four games in the second group stage to go through, while Arsenal were busy drawing games they should have won.
I think its Arsenal who had the appalling results, and only have themselves to blame for not getting through.

And I know that the Maccabi Haifa result was embarrassing, but apart from that its been a solid performance by United so far.

I don't think that clubs and nationalism have much to do with each other. I support England even though they have a few Ars**l sh!te in the team, but there is no way I would support the sh!tes against anyone.

Watched the game on TSN and it was happy days here. grin
