Trying to organize a local group for Brits, Aussies, Kiwis, Canadians and people from South Africa to meet up on a regular basis for afternoon tea and/or shared interests.
Periodically visit San Francisco and L.A. also, so would love to meet up with people there that might already be part of a group or are looking to meet other expats. Have Brit friends in SFO who are currently looking for a local group as well.

We are in the Bay Area and have met some lovely Americans, and equally some vey nice Brits. But don't know of any groups as such, cos I didn't have the time, busy busy busy here with visitors/ family :wink:
There is one website that advertises for meet ups throughout the US, and SF is one of there meet up places, perhaps somone will post the link

Well Winky and I have the starts of a meet up in San Diego over Easter week.
Anyone else fancy joining in, not sure where or which day yet but if you can spare some time why not join us. smile
MarmiteManiac The site you're probably referring to is http//www.meetup.com, which I recently discovered. There is an expat section, but the Brit one gives you a message that says there aren't enough Brits in the area. Other meetings (not Expat ones) I've signed up for have been canceled due to a lack of five attendees. Three were scheduled for the same day, so I canceled two of them, then the third one didn't happen in the end due to a lack of attendees. Will keep trying though. Have signed up for an Expat Aussie one (though I'm British), so hopefully that, too, won't be canceled.
Have some friends in diffent areas of SFO, so visit periodically. Maybe we could meet up sometime.
Am meeting up with Wendl while she is in San Diego over Easter Week. Am looking forward to it, though it's too bad she doesn't live nearer for regular meet-ups. Maybe some of you out there will give up the bitter cold for rays of sunshine sometime in the near future??? lol
