I was a United fan upto the 16 years of age. I could stand in the Stretford End for 3 quid. Then they pulled it down put seats in then tried to charge me 15 notes for the same privilige. I was disgusted so I thought f*ck em. I never went back. I started going to watch Salford Reds Rugby league team for awhile then started watching Stockport, never looked back. I still to this day believe United sold out their local fans (people like me who went to the game bought a programme and got the bus home) for these other fans who go maybe to 3 games per year but will spend 400 pounds in the souvenier shop too. Thats how I feel. It was a good game yesterday, but I won't lose any sleep over United losing.

So this is where us Liverpool fans come to gloat. It really shouldnt have been that much of a surprise, Man Utd dont know how to beat Liverpool. That much should be clear by now. Also the game was for Silverware, something Alex Ferguson seems to be trying his best to avoid.
You forgot the choruses of
'It's all gone quiet over there...' and
'You're not singing any more' while pointing aggesively into you monitor.

Sorry, just sobering up after celebrating yesterday's tremendous win!

Looks like ManU could end the season empty-handed (again!)
Just wait for the 'Oh, we never take that competition seriously'/'We put out our reserve team'/'Oh we're REALLY trying to conserve ourselves for the Champions League/Premiership' excuses. smile

the way they played at times, I think some of them SHOULD be in the reserve team. especially Silvestre, geez he had a mare.

Dudek was on fire/lucky (as all great goalkeepers are). It was a good game, and beating the Mancs is always a great feeling - especially when there is a trophy at stake.

Just before Owens' goal I said "That's right United, keep coming forward so we can hit you with the counter attack." and voila! It happened.

Now for the UEFA Cup to rescue our season.
