I know this may be a strange query, but has anyone had any experience being an American applying for British Naturalisation. I sent my application to the Home Office before I left the UK.(I am married to a Scot) After a few months I rec'd the application back(albeit stamped Recd) requesting that I send in my passport.
At the time I was traveling quite a bit, so didn't feel comfortable sending the actual document. Unfortunately they won't take photocopies.
It's now been about 16 months, and I finally think I should get this completed. There is a phone number in Liverpool, but I've never been able to get through.
Has anyone been though this????
