Monster posted the link to Stewarts of Kearny in NJ on the food forum and I noticed that on their front page they have info about British Festivals this summer.
I wondered if any BritNetters are going to any of them. Perhaps we could meet up at one? I think these are in Long Island and NJ?
I've just seen this. I shall tell O in a little while. Kearny is only a few towns over from where we are, so more then likely we shall go.
Are you wanting to go Deborah? If you need to your more then welcome to stay. Our home is small but we can find the room.

It looks like they are all in NJ, Deb. I hadn't thought about it to be honest. I may consider going to one nearer the time. smile
Zed,
Thank you, that's really kind of you! Haven't decided for sure if we will go, but would love to meet up with you if we do and maybe borrow the floor.
Some American friends took us to Kearny for fish & chips when we lived in NJ, it was pretty good, although I still think they do the best fish & chips outside of the UK right here in Mystic.
Ben,
I belive the Westbury one is in Long Island. Old Westbury, is that anywhere near you? I did a google search for it and it came up with this link, if you scroll down the page there is a little bit more info about last years festival and an address and telephone number.

Where in Mystic Deborah?
John - Mystic is in South East Connecticut, not far from the State of Rhode Island.
It's very pretty around there, and is famous for the Seaport which is a large open-air living history museum where you ideally need about about a day to visit as there is so much to see there.
Deborah also has her shop in Mystic town centre (I've just heard that she's moving to a better location, so I wish you Good Luck, Deborah! razz
It's too long a journey for a day trip from NJ, but is definitely worth visiting for a weekend getaway; there are lots of nice hotels and B&B's in the area too....unless you want to stay at the Mohegan Sun (I wonder if Antbax can get staff discounts for his Britnet pals?! lol )

Where in Mystic Deborah?
Sea Swirl on Route 1, its only open in the summer months but they do a good Fish& Chips. 41 Degrees North does really good fish but the chips are just french fries. Are you planning a visit to taste the delights of Mystic?
Dawn and Deborah thanks for that information on Mystic. We are planning a visit when the warmer weather arrives.
