ok another question the form above needs to be used if my sponsor (which happens to be my wife) cannot meet the 125% of the poverty guidelines for our household and subsequently needs to use a co-sponsor in the household. the question is this. On the form it says that the co-sponsor and my wife need to have lived together for at least 6 months (the co-sponsor is my mother-in-law) my wife has only lived with her mother for 5 months, will they still accept her as a co-sponsor if not can anyone else co-sponsor, assets etc.. can't be used a we have none. i know this is a rather complicated question.

The co-sponsor can be any US citizen who is resident in the US. There is an exception to this - the immigrant can be their own co-sponsor if they have lived with the sponsor for at least 6 months.
