I just found ut from the INS case status online that my green card has been approved! It took 175 days out of 180, so kudos to them for keeping within the time frame. I can hardly believe it...I have been waiting since November 2001 for this! Yippee! Next stop the Embassy interview! Maybe my dream of getting out to the States by the summer will come true! grin
CONGRATS!!!!!!!! smile smile smile
Wow, that's great.

Congratulations, that great news, I'm sure I've probably missed it somewhere else but what part of the US are you moving too?

Thanx everyone...I can hardly believe it!

Congratulations!

What do you mean that your green card has been approved? Do you mean your I-140 petition has been approved by the INS Service Center, or has the approved petition worked its way through the National Visa Center yet?

Thanx Ameriscot. I meant that my I-140 petition has been approved by the INS Service Center. Packet 3 has been sent to my agency and filing that will be my next step. I expect to do that within the next 2 weeks. I know I'm not home and dry yet, but having it approved means things have moved forward and I can now begin to envisage a timeframe.
Hello Rockgirl,

That is great to hear that you are moving closer to your goal.

Do you know where you want to move to?

Regards
M.
Hi quattro. My partner has a place in CT so I will be moving there. At least I hope I will be. My agency have yet to place me and I hope they find me a hospital that is within commuting distance of our apartment.
Sorry, I missed your reply, your coming to CT!!

Hooray another one for the "Cult", I mean, "Group of friendly, pefectly safe, non-scary Brits"

Let me know if there is any info about CT I can help you out with, there are lots of Britnetters here in CT, we have the whole State fairly well covered so your almost bound to end up living close to one of us. I'm in North Stonington which is in New London County.

Hope to meet you soon, all the best with all the paperwork. smile
I remember the feeling of having the petition approved. Good work! Conratulations!
