We've been watching all the games on FSW and I've got very confused about the injury time added at the end of each game.Does the 4th official decide this and is it just on injury time alone {I know thats what it used to be}It seems to me sometimes the teams have had very few injuries and then they add 3-4 mins on which can sometimes change a game. Am I missing something?
No they add a certain, mandatory amount on for substitutions - something like 20 seconds for each one.

In the past, teams used to waste a lot of time with them, just to hang on to a draw or a narrow win. The powers that be got wise and now the 4th official just keeps track of the time and it's a bit pointless trying it on with the ref.
Actually the ref keeps time and signals to the fourth official how much time he wants to add with his fingers, the fourth official then displays it on his board thing.
Well I guess you need to do something with your thing if it's bored.

actually, it's Alex Ferguson that decides the amount of injury time, not the ref
