Has anyone been late in adjusting the change of address with the INS?

Never moved, but don't let being late put you off!

The change in the law (last summer?) was never well publicised, so you will certainly be forgiven for not knowing about it. I only found out about it when surfing through attorney websites - how many people do that?
Pete's company sent out a memo to all its expatriate staff, informing them that they must inform the INS of any changes of address whilst residing in the US; I gather that this has taken on more importance since Sept 11th, although to be honest I doubt any intended terrorist would bother to give the INS their change of address details.

Pete suddenly remembered that the address the INS probably had on file was the serviced apartment he was staying in for a few weeks in Manhatten.

We completed the forms (one form for each person in the family) and sent them off somewhere I think in Washington DC.

I do know that the company had printed the forms off from the INS website.
yes, I did mine when I went when i found out my green card had expired 6 months before. They didn't say anything about either being late. I only found out it had expired because we refinanced the house and the mortgage company called to tell me it had.
