Well now you've nudged our curiosity levels....?

monster

The 60 days is because, my daughter was waiting to have braces done.
But last week after I had booked my April 3rd flight, the orthodontist called me at work, saying she will not do the work on my daughter.
Her reason was it wasn't in my daughters best intrest, it was unclinical to have 2 different orthodontist. She had been talking to our dentist who had been told we are moving over to the states, my impression was the orthodontist didn't want to spend time and NHS money on some one who isn't going to be here in the Uk for long. Even tho we had waited 2 years !!!
I can't change my flight booking as they are non changeable cry so we sit here waiting ...
kit
poor you. sad It'll probably pass quicker than you think, though.
just curious,, what was the major reason? the years budget?-- or knowing the 14yr-old would be seeing a "real" dr and see how they do it in the UK <govt' drs>?

any suggestions?

???

ps... monster that's two months cry cry cry

I can do the maths. I was offering sympathy -being pessimistic won't make it any easier.
You're on dodgy ground with the "real drs" comment evil Just because the two countries have different approaches to and charging systems for dentistry does not mean that the work done in one country is inferior to that of the other.
Kangroo> if you are saying UK dentistry sucks big time you are not on dodgy ground at all! Quite the contrary, you are on terra firma! The BBC pays more than lip service to the view that UK dentistry sucks BIG TIME! lol If the British BBC can reflect that view so can you Kangroo; please keep posting.

I think beauty is probably in the eye of the beholder on this one.

Kudos to Kangroo though for being eager to pay for his new step-daughter's orthodontic work

Congratulations. You'll be arriving in Houston on my birthday, so you can drop off my gift at hobby airport as I'm sure I'll still be making my weekly trips to Galveston then - although maybe not, as that will most likely be when my child comes in to this world. In which case, you can leave both my and the babie's present at hobby.
