I've been waiting patiently for a month for the new Vermont processing times, and now they're out it gives exactly the same date for green cards for nurses as it did last month! It hasn't even moved forward a single day! What's up with that?
typical... the ins needs a good shake up ..along with the us banking system ,the phone system and amtrax ..i could gone on ..such as the varied house taxes per state and part of state ,car insurance etc

hang in there kiddo

Thanx antbax, but I'm foaming at the mouth! evil I thought they had a nursing shortage over there? I think they need to invent a fast track for medical personnel if their shortage is as bad as they say. They can't need us that much if they drag this process out for so long.

They tend to work on batches on one class of petition for a while, then switch over to another class and work on those. They probably haven't been working on nurses' petitions for the last month, but eventually this will come round again. The number of weeks they spend processing each type of petition is a political decision, AFAIK.

Well that makes me feel a little better...thanx. I hope that means that once they start on my batch it will move a whole lot quicker.

Incidently, does anyone know how the breaking up of the INS is going to affect current on-going applications? Is this going to set everything back by a long time? I think it's like six weeks away from what I heard.

It shouldn't really make any difference to petition processing, tbh. It's a top level change and all the people who work in the Service Centers and Field Offices will still do the same job, and the border patrol staff will have the same duties as ever.

Hi,
I have read from Texas INS forum Centre that all the I140's application are on hold till March.
I waited just over 200 days for my approval and I still have to wait for NVC which it may take another 6 Months.
Good Luck.
Welcome to Britnet, Abb.

Many Thanx,Ameriscot
