So Ive been waiting for the INS to contact me to come in about Residency since May 28th. And yesterday I get a letter thru the post after not hearing a single thing that says "congratulations your application for residency has been approved. This means that you are now a resident". Nice. Very happy. Annoying thing is that my wife had to have a security check from the government and they made such a fuss about me being a foreigner. Oh well.
Many congrats mrbungle2103,
I am very happy to hear of your positive experience at the hands of the INS.
Are you going to go and have a celebratory bevvie or two? smile
Once again, many congrats on your new found status.
Kindest regards
M.
I congratulated myself by eating alot of food. Actually, I am gonna congratulate myself by taking a cruise. Nice.
What visa were you on before, Bungle?

I was on a fiance-K1.
Normally, K1ers adjust status and are granted residency at interview. That's why I was surprised to learn that you received your residency by post.
Yeah it was really surprising to me too. Ive been waiting for an interview date then out of the blue a letter giving me the thumbs up. Maybe I have a good face.
After my interview for residency, the woman behind the desk wanted to pet Christine's hair (blonde down to past her bum). I said "Let her", Mrs Rude let her and I got my residency. I don't think the two are related but I wanted to make sure...
I forgot the rest of the facts. The rst of the letter says that I can go and get a stamp to prove my residency if I like, otherwise I can just wait between 9-12 months for it to arrive in the mail!!!
