Anyone in this area want to meet up for a beer or two for Christmas?
I really do not know any Brits in this area, I am all alone and have been for a long time, It would be nice to meet up with fellow Brits for a Christmas party.
TM will let you know when we are going down LA way. A visit there is over-due. Has been cancelled twice already.
That would be nice, maybe we could meet for lunch while you are here smile
I know theres plenty to do, Disneyland and Universal studios etc.
TM that sounds great!

We were all booked to do LA in August and 24 hrs earlier we got word that Neilh's dad had died so we jumped on a short notice flight and went to UK. We had an LA City tour booked (they never did refund our money!) and everything. Would have been our youngest's birthday and she was SO excited.

Will keep you posted as soon as we sort a weekend out..ok?
It would be great.
There are a few British pubs in LA, I hear there`s a good one in Santa Monica, I haven`t been there yet.
I`m sure you will enjoy Disneyland and everything else here.
Let me know and hopefully we can meet for lunch somewhere.
Hope it works out for you this time roll

Sounds good to me, I`ll email you shortly, I`m about 20 miles from Disneyland, I`ll look for a nice place to have lunch, I have a friend who lives in Anaheim where disneyland is, they can tell me the best places to go.
It will be good to meet someone with a British accent smile
If you haven't already done your meeting, you should go to The Kings Head in Santa Monica. (Santa Monica Blvd and 2nd -- get on the 10 and head west, stopping just before your feet get wet.) You will be floored by the number of photos of Brits that have visted -- pretty much every famous Brit in the last 30 years seems to have been there. You can also nip next door to the shop, or across the street to the Tudor House (on 2nd just south of Santa Monica Blvd) to get stocked up on digestive biscuits, Aeros, sausage rolls, Trebor mints, etc., etc.

Santa Monica has a big Brit population. Did you know there are supposed to be 200,000 Brits and Irish living in SoCal?

Mark (down the street from Santa Monica)
Actually, I just checked and it's now supposed to be 300,000 - 500,000!
Well howcome I haven`t met any of them, only me all alone here, I see plenty of Mexican`s, Chinese, Philipino and even Italians, but not one single teeny weeny sign of any Brits sad
