Just watched FSW show an FA game, and surprise, suprise, it wasnt a big name game.
Harrogate Railway v Bristol City (final score 1-3)and we thouroughly enjoyed it. So nice not to have the prima donnas and the thug attitude, just a good game, how it should be. Wish we could see more of the other divisions and not just premier league.
(And this is from a die hard Chelsea Fan)
I hope Dagenham & Redbridge get on TV in the third Round. They have to travel to Nouveau Home Park to face Plymouth. The media will want a giant-killing but it's more likely to be a minnow-slaying with Plymouth's current form of 3 goals in each of the first two rounds and none conceeded.
I saw the chairman of Man Utd saying that only half the British league clubs will survive thru all the financial crisis. At first I was sad about it but now I feel it is probably a good thing. Maybe the smaller clubs can hook up with a university and be likethe US college football system, except without the money corruption!
Man UTD at home to Portsmouth.
Theres a game
Play up Pompey
I think it's more likely that small clubs will merge with the bigger clubs and act as feeder teams.
Didn't the big clubs kick down some of their money to help out the clubs that got hit by the TV deal which didn't come off for them last year?

Plymouth had fortunately restructured prior to that disaster so we only had to hold off buying new players and finishing our stadium improvments but I know some other clubs were totally threatened when the money dried up overnight.
These are the live games in the UK for the 3rd round. I will hunt around and check that the two Sky games are going to be on Fox (very likely). Buffalobloke should be happy but I think it's a bit dumb when none of those teams particularly needs the TV money.

Man Utd Vs Pompey (Live on SKY Sat 4th Jan)
Man City Vs Liverpool (Live on BBC Sun 5th Jan)
Wolves Vs Newcastle (Live on SKY Sun 5th Jan)

I still think the Plymouth game should be featured - not least because we are having to play two teams at once - both Dagenham and Redbridge wink

Nice one! A few beers and a bag of crisps and you're sorted (maybe you can get MacZippy to make and send you a meat pie and something resembling Bovril).

Man UTD 4 Pompey1
A little upset as the score really did not reflect the game. Pompey were overwhelmed for the first 20 mins but fought back valiantly and should have eqaulised but messed up!
Overall I felt the team showed they had Premiership qualities.
Any comments?

Wish Pompey had played up.....

Now MOTD will feature Man Utd. vs. West Ham as a live game. Hardly the magic of the cup, given the other ties that are going on.
