I am dying for a Snowball. I am determined that this Christmas I will get to have my traditional tipple but I have yet to find real advocaat in the liquor stores and eggnog has no alcohol in it. Any suggestions from all you alcoholics out there?
Failing that perhaps someone can bring me back a bottle from Blighty lol
I've been eating the limited edition Safeway Eggnog yoghurts lately - shame there is no alcohol in them or they'd be the ultimate, healthy snack smile

not sure where you are, but I saw Advocaat in the NH Liquor store last week.
Kentgirl, I'm with you there. I love advocat and haven't had any since we moved here. Eggnog just isn't the same.

Warninks advocaat is something I overdosed on my fifteenth Christmas. I'm afraid I feel the same way as Andrew with this one.....

You always knew when the festive season was in full swing at my Nan's house....she'd order a dozen small bottles each of Britvic orange and Schweppes lemonade, and a large bottle of Warninks Advocaat to make snowballs with.
One third of a glass of advocaat, a good splash of sherry, topped off with lemonade, whisked to cause a frothy head to form and adorn with a maraschino cherry. Yum! grin
