Did anyone notice that John 'motty' motson is going to get an OBE off the queen for his services to football broadcasting!!

And I was wondering if anyone see a couple of months back that Brian Moore (who used to do football commentary on ITV had died?

I like John Motson a lot. His commentaries are legendary and he always seemed to have so many facts available to drop in whenever needed. His enthusiasm for great play and goals is infectious and I'll never forget some of his legendary commentaries for England goals in previous world cups. I'd love to hear more of his commentaries here but sadly have to make do with the Sky commentators.

I did however enjoy having Motty commentate on the Electronic Arts FIFA Soccer games that you can buy here - almost as good.
