I have about five pounds of green cherry toms. Do you have any idea what I can do with them?
Relish and chutney recipes say to core green tomatoes, but I am NOT wanting to do that with these tiny things! There would be nothing left! roll

? so follow the recipes without coring them?

They're so small the core's hardly tough. Why would you need to core them?

(complete relish/chutney ignoramus here, can you tell?)
I'm with Monster, I have had recipes that say peel and core and remove seeds from toms, but I never do.
Thanks. I was going to do that if nobody had any better ideas. I didn't see why I would have to core them anyway.... and some recipes I've found said to de-seed too! I can't ever remember doing that back home, but wasn't sure. smile
I can't actually remember removing cores either, but it was a long time ago, that I last made green tomatoe chutney.
Yep,

No need to core or de-seed them. Try to get the skins off if you can though.

I love green tomato chutney, can I have a jar when you're finished? grin

(ps. Are you related to Dan Quayle?)

I made the chutney last night. Some of the tomatoes were so tiny I didn't bother taking the skins off.
It turned out very well, but didn't make enough to let you all have some...sorry!

Why do you ask if I am related to Dan Quayle?

Tomato / tomatoe?

Although I think it was potatoes that tripped up poor Dan on TV.
