just wondered if there were any NY/NJ get togethers planned in the near future? There are a couple of threads about possible ones then all goes quiet.
I live in Rockland county, NY which is right next to Bergen county and would like to meet some Brits in the area. Sometimes the American humor (humour) just doesn't cut it.
So, if anyone's up for a pint - get in touch!

I went to uni in Preston so have learnt to translate the Lancashire accent.... grin
It seems all the organised NY/NJ get togethers fall by the wayside... we really should try harder and not let the CT cult beat us....

LI is a little far but depending on my schedule it is possible. How's about around Penn station, Hoboken or anywhere else that's central
I prefer the weekends sometime but late Friday night is OK as well.

The trains which serve the line where we live (Morris & Essex line) goes to Hoboken and the Mid-town Direct goes to Penn station.
Neither are a problem for me (although I dislike Penn station in the rush hours roll).
It might be nice to meet up during the day - say a Saturday afternoon? Hoboken would be good for me as it's a nice place to walk around - and the Cuban restaurant is a nice place for a cheap meal.
Friday evenings are a bit of a pain as we have to be up early for taking our son to soccer.. grin
I'm easy going, so will go with a 'majority' vote. smile
I live in Orange county... I've herad of Rockland and Bergen counties... Just can't place them...
I would be up for beer etc... Unfortunatly I get about 8 minutes leisure time per week !
