I made the mistake of joining a Pool at a cost of $100 for the season.

So please somebody tell me who is going to win this weekend as I don't fancy coming in with yet another record low score.

Stupid Game!!!

Richie,

Now this is my major sporting passion! So I'll try and help you out here.

You can always go with the spread to be on the safe side.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/scoreboard

Lists each game, click on ESPNs take for each game to get the latest spread.

Generally these are based on team form.

But if you want my opinion for this weekend.
(the espn spread is in paranthesis)

Giants to win at Dallas (even)
Buffalo to upset Oakland (oakland by 3)
Tampa over Atlanta (Bucs by 2)
Tennesee to beat Washington (Titans by 5.5)
New Orleans over Pittsbugh (Saints by 3)
Carolina to beat Arizona (Panthers by 3.5)
Colts over bungles (colts by 13.5)
Kansas beats Jets (Cheif by 3)
Denver over San Diego (Broncos by 5.5)
49ers over Rams (San fran by 7.5)
Eagles beat Jacksonville (Philly by 3)
Cleveland over Baltimore (browns by 7)
Green Bay over Bears (Bears by 1.5)
New England to stuff Miami (Dolphins by 3)

I do see a couple of upsets this weekend, but generally go with EPSNs ideas.

I am not a betting man, so I'll be chearing for these results if you go with them.

I've got a few people on the hunt for a good week now.

Hope your right about the Patriots. Living in Foxboro for two years, I've kind of adopted them. In fact I was watching the game on Sunday and getting really upset at their failure to stop the runner. I sat back and thought "wow, you've legitimately got something emotionally invested in this game", they were also my 7 Point pick in the Pool but I really want them to do well. They've got to tighten down against the rushing plays though, if they leak like that against Miami I would see trouble ahead.

Cheers

Richie

A fellow Brit Net Pats fan...at last!

Belichick is a good coach, and has surrounded himself with quality staff. I don't think they will let this trend of poor rush defense last. Last year stopping the run was one of the strengths of the Pats.

We (the patriots) are still a very good offensive unit. Despite losing last week, every single offensive drive ended in San Diegos half of the field. That's good possession. Also, all of San Diegos scores were 'big plays' they didn't have a single 'first and goal to go' down in the game. We simply failed to score.

In addition both San Diego and Kansas are 'rush' oriented teams. The offensive line of both clubs are geared towards creating the holes for the running backs. Miami are a little more balanced on the o-line. They brought in Ricky Williams this year to bolster an average running game.

If we improve the run defense (not fix, simply improve) we are the better team and should beat Miami.

Go Brady.... League MVP this year I think!!!

Well, I hope you didn't take my suggestions this week.

A hopeless 8 out of 14.

There were upsets, just not the ones I expected. I'll try again this week.

Yeh the Pats did well didn't they lol
Go Broncos

Hey Buffalo Bloke, don't forget the Broncos have a trip to Gillette Stadium on the 27th.
We'll gauge how good the Broncos really are after playing at New England.
