I was wondering if any of you on your travels while brit-shopping had came across this item as i just finished my last pkt mad sad if so i would GLADLEY send you the money for cubes plus postage. Can not find them here in my brit shop.
Frankly, I thought they were yuck when I tried them a few years ago. But if you really want some, my sister's coming over at the end of September...
Where abouts in the country do you live?

We also have visitors coming in September and October, if you are closer to us than Monster.

I did have some, but had to throw them out because the date expired.
Just use herbs and oxo cubes . . .I got used to it.
is there any ox left in oxo cubes..???????

I think I saw them when I was shopping yesterday.

I'm a firm believer in (mostly) making do with what's readily available, and just adapting my cooking to suit (there's no chance of me turning into an American cook - all tacos and hamburger helper). Surely you can find Italian seasoning or similar stock cubes for the US market? It's not a hard flavour to duplicate - a veggie/chicken/beef base with some italian herbs. Experiment!
Oh dear, poor Julie -it looks like we're all trashing you for using herby OXO cubes! Sorry! I do much prefer to use normal cubes and add my own herbs, though (preferablt fresh). Like Ben, I have two sets of visitors coming who could bring some, but it I would have thought it would be incredibly pricey to post them.
Oxo cubes. Way too salty.

Make your own stock, save your bones (beef and chicken) and make stock once a month on a Sunday, takes a couple of hours whilst you're doing something else.

Although I've never met anyone who uses hamburger helper, everyone I know actually cooks.. lol

Although I am quite fond of antojitos myself (living near a large Latino area).

You really need to take a trip to the heartlands

Hamburger (and Tuna, Chicken) Helpers are very popular here.

People (middle class SAHMs like me) here seem afraid to cook. One day I was cooking fish (just simple little tilapia fillets dipped in egg and coated Matzo meal) for the children's tea, when my neighbour popped in. She announced in one breath that she didn't like fish, and in the next breath asked why I didn't just give them Van der Kamps (a cheapo frozen fish brand). That's why you don't like fish, I told her. She didn't even know what real fish tasted like.

Well, only to select areas of the country where I know it'll be safe....

Don't worry...

But to be honest, there really isn't anything outside California. I have visited a vast majority of the country (by road) and find that this State has everything I/we need.

There simply isn't anything that draws me East of the Sierra's (aside from a visit!!).

Why is it that "don't worry" is one of the most worrying statements in the English language (and probably a few others besides)?

Hmmm.. Our sense of inner calm in the face of adversity perhaps..

"Don't worry, it's only a flesh wound..."

Julie, PM me with your address and I'll send you some of mine!

I use the Italian, Chinese and Mexican as well as the normal OXO cubes - wouldn't be without them!
