Ok,
Just about everybody has a football team - what's yours and why?
Mine is the team currently perched at the top of the Premiership, Liverpool. My Dad and his family are from Liverpool - half are Evertonians and the other half Liverpudlians, needless to say I followed my Dad.
Being from Worthing, routed firmly to the south coast of England and situated just 12 miles to the west of sunny Brighton, I am naturally a Seagulls fan. Currently top of Div 2 by goal difference, looking forward to 2nd straight season ending in promotion!
Lived in Kent all my life so naturally I support... Man Utd.
Alright, alright, I can feel the flack coming this way already.
Althou i was born in the eastend i spent most of my adult life in southwest london (chelsea/putney) therefore im a CHELSEA fan COME ON THE BLUES ...
play up Pompey
A come from behind win last Saturday against Man City puts them 10th in the first division. cool
though I expect they will fade in the later half of the season and just save themselves relegation again mad
Doncaster Rovers through and through - as a kid though i did like liverpool.
reason - my home town, it is amazing how teams tie you to a town. i rememeber at uni that we were all tied to our home teams - it was a way we all interacted and tokk the piss out of each other - sadly i supported the 'worst team'
ARSENAL born and bred..........
I'd have to say Sunderland, having been brainwashed by my Dad & 2 brothers. They're fanatics so I wouldn't dare say Newcastle in case I got disinherited!!!
lol I am and always will be a hammer fan, I still have my original badges and banners with the plastic man on the front. My Dad and I always liked going on a Saturday. Mind you the stadiums looked nothing like they do
now. Hey, they are still hanging in there in the first division.
WEST HAM....WEST HAM....WEST HAM....
Plymouth Argyle for me. Former celebrity's joke team, badly run for the best part of a decade but now under a new regime and top of the Third Division at present. Adopted home town for me.
If they could keep getting the results, they actually have the potential to be a Premiership giant. Few other clubs can claim they have such a vast population without any other clubs of note nearby. Probably years away but some of us live in hope wink
Actually I used to be a HUGE fan of Arsenal, I don't follow as much but do keep a friendly eye on how thing are going.
Especially when I was a kid, me, my Dad and a workmate of his from the bus company used to travel up to the big city for the matches.
I have loads of Arsenal programmes and stuff back home in the big box in the loft...
Anyone remember Charlie George (was that his name? Been a while)
Andrew

Since I saw the my first game at the temder age of 13 I have been hooked on US Football, I am a bigger fan of the New England Patriots and US Football than any 'British' game, other than when England play internationals (football).
