.....for hosting such a brilliant Jubilee party today. It was great to meet so many Britnetters, and Deborah's huge garden was the perfect spot, all decked out with Union Jacks and bunting.

For the record the women's team thrashed the men on the quiz wink

I suspect KG will post some of her photos later, if she's not too tired grin

Thanks again, Deborah and Simon

Jan
Here! Here! (or was it Hear! Hear! - still can't remember!). I have sent monster the first instalment of photos and the next batch is ready to go, but don't want to flood her mailbox!

As Jan says - big hugs and thanks to Deb and Simon for hosting a wonderful party. The decorations and attention to detail - right down to red white and blue cutlery to union jack cups, plate and napkins were brilliant.

There was a great deal of talking and anyone looking in would have assumed we were a well-established crowd of friends - which we are, except we were wearing nametags so we could identify each other!

The food was brilliant and even the kids and the dogs enjoyed the freedom of the lovely big yard and the equally lovely house.

I have some photos and hope to be able to show you them soon. smile

Thanks again Deborah! (Thanks also to Debsowerby for some amazing artwork - more of that later wink)

My goodness, so you have! Did any flag go unphotoed?

I'm working on it, and everyone else hold off for a mo 'cause my mailbox is indeed full!

p.s. it was hear, hear! But what we all want to know is who was there, there?

Britnetters present were

Deborah
debsowerby
Lisa Hyland
Jim Hyland
Ben
Kentgirl
Antbax
moi
Dawn
Spring Blossom
janj
Nicky-nak
Emma

Hope I didn't miss anyone!

Was Gavin there or did I imagine it? Unfortunately I didn't get chance to say hello to him roll

Jan
Who's Gavin?
Ohhhhhh! I'm oh so tired now!

Just got in (1.15am) after a very long drive home, but I'm too tired to sleep (if you know what I mean!) so I made myself a cuppa and had to look at Britnet.

We had such a wonderful time....thankyou lots and lots to Deborah and Simon (and Laurel the wonderdog!) for a fantastic day! And so good to meet all you other Britnetters (or should it be Brit NUTTERS!)
I felt like I'd known you forever. It's just so sad the day had to end but I can't wait for the next get-together!

KG, the photos came out really well, despte the typical British drizzle which went on for most of the day but did not dampen our spirits in the slightest.

Must go now, it's late.

Loadsa love,

Debs x grin

Still seeing double, Lisa? lol
Same here Deb, me and Allan had just the best time (in a long time). He fit right in on the 'men' table, which looked very suspiciously like a serious pub session happening !!! God knows how much he downed, but the headache started in the middle of the night lol

There was definately NO homesickeness going on yesterday.

Everything was just perfect. Thanks so very much !!! grin

There's nothing like hugging and kissing a bunch of men goodbye after they're tanked up
eek

Brilliant Day - evening. I've never known 9 hours go by so incredibly fast. I met some excellent new friends yesterday - that already feel like old friends.

Oh no I just typed a reply and promptly lost it!

Here is my second attempt, don't know about you lot but I'm good for nothing today so please excuse my rambling thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your kind words. I would have to share the knighthood with everyone because it really was a team effort.

We had such a great time yesterday meeting everyone, hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as Simon and me and LooLah Laurel TWD.

We could never have done it without all the help and hardwork of you all.

Debs your artwork was brill and added so much fun! Thanks so much for doing all that and organising pin the tail on the donkey right down to the prizes.

Kentgirl the quiz was great fun thank you for doing that and for taking all the fab photos. Everyone loved the trifle and Union Jack chocolate cake.

Ben, I can't believe all the British goodies I now have in my fridge, thank you so much. Thanks for all the great nosh. Banoffe pie was a great success - as always.

Thank you to everyone for bringing tons of food and drink - all delish! If you could just see my fridge bursting its sides with brownies, almond slices etc etc!

Lisa's Mum & Dad thank you so much for the Terry's chocolates. Won so brilliantly by the girls team.

Antbax & Co, thanks again for everything, your tent kept us dry in the drizzle and thank you so much for bringing everything over on Saturday it was much appreciated.

Lisa and Jim, you are just such superstars, can't say thank you enough for all your help, you were both fantastic, could never have done it without you guys to get everything sorted out. Oh and Jim great toast to Her Majesty.

Honestly there are just so many people to thank for doing and bringing all sorts of great stuff so here is a big THANK YOU to you ALL for everything, you are ALL THE BESTEST!

So see you all at Jim and Lisa's??

p.s Apologies to all who were harrassed by TWD, she was just beside herself with joy to have so many people to play with. Are any of you interested in renting our your kids for her to play with? lol
Debberooo!!!

Can't take the credit for the grown-up's prizes at all. All thanks to Nikki (Spring Blossom) for those and all the nice wrapping paper too!

Me, on the other hand, sent Mike down to the corner shop for some choccie for the kids which got stuffed in the cool box resulting in a pack of water damaged M & M's!! I'm such a cheapskate!

Lucy is available for parties, weddings, bar mitzvah's etc. and will keep your dog entertained all day! lol

Mucho thanks again, sweetie.

Oh Deborah, all we did was show up, and slap a few things on the barbie, all the hard work looked like it had been being done for weeks.
Also, I can't belieeeve just how fab your house is! Poor Lisa's got all depressed about our house not being as good, and we haven't even bought it yet!!!
Going on about how embarrased you are to have people round when its such a mess, I don't know, what are you like?
BTW, I can do you a good deal on painting the outside if you want....I know this bloke in England who doesn't mind coming over with his rollers and brushes, just don't ask about his pole!
Just remembered, I would like to thank Deb for the Helium entertainment toys too lol lol lol

I had to keep sitting down from the dizzy spells it gave off. But what fun ......

There was an awful lot of sucking going on yesterday eh Lisa & Debs razz razz grin lol lol lol
