Has anyone else heard about this? Apprently he's in Washington DC in talks to join the local MLS team. I can't wait!!!
As a Rangers fan - true and blue - I used to love seeing him play. Okay, he can bit of an ar$e, but he has a gift and when he uses it then it's a joy to watch him play.

I wonder how the yanks will take to him - whatever happens I hope he joins cause it'll be so entertaining!

Happy Al
Wow!

It would be worth the 4 hour drive from our house to D.C. to see Gazza play...and I'm not much of a footie fan!

How did you find out?

Gascoigne Will fair well at United they sure need some new players .

Ive supported them since day when i lived in VA and they won the MLS championship every year they where untouchable.

Bruce Arena left to coach the US World cup team and i went to Texas, since then they have been struggling at the bottom of the MLS heap.Infact they SUCK

I wonder if he will bring and (bad karma ) thou ??

I've seen this being discussed in the footy media. It would be pretty good. He's not going to be utilized in the UK now but could make quite an impact over here.

It would certainly encourage me to watch more MLS.
Is this the same Gazza who used to play for Newcastle?

I've already promised DS a trip up to Columbus when Gazza comes to play the Crew.

I think I seen it on ananova.com - the press association website.
I can't see him lasting long but they're offering him more than anyone in Britain is.

Maybe he'll just be the team mascot!!

Happy Al
He's been in Washington D.C. on a trial since Wednesday and it lasts until next Wednesday.

I hope they sign him/he signs for them. I'd really like to see if any of the old, lazy magic is still there.
I'd go to see him play against the San Jose Earthquakes if he does get into the team, he was great to watch . remember his goal at Euro '96?
matt
I'm a Burnley fan, and Gazza was playing for us at the end of last season - now he's following me to Washington.

From all accounts he was pretty poor, unfit, and lacking his former creative spark. He did little in division one, so I wouldn't expect too much of him in MLS.

I do wish him the best of luck though, simply because he's a fun bloke. I'd love to be proved wrong. I will go and watch him, but he has to pass a fitness test before he can play - that may prove a tough one for Paul.

Gazza NOT coming to America.

Contract talks broke down. Oh well sad
Ive just been watching Sky Sports News and the Gazza deal might not be dead after all??

Gazza's agent has said that there still are negotiations going on and 'the Gazza' could be going to DC United in January of next year. (for their training camp maybe?)

Dundee and Darlington are still after him!!
