I've even managed to get my two year old daughter singing "Football's coming home". She fell asleep singing it the other night. And the weird thing is, I don't have that in any medium.
New Order has been played to death.
Three Lions and a Huge Prayer to the Football OverLords.

Still one of the better football songs though (if you can say any of them are any good), and soooooo beats that Daryl Denham (Jam) tripe...
Just wondered if anyone was feeling nostalgic!
I found the CD this morning...

I have all the footy songs on MP3 so they got burned onto a CD earlier this month. I even have E-Type on there who did the theme music to Euro 2000 which wasn't bad (Campione, Campione!) I quite like the Vangelis theme for this World Cup but haven't actually heard it used so wonder which channel uses it.
The New Order World in Motion was excellent - I thought we would win the World Cup in 1990 with that little number. Seem to recall the rap part by John Barnes was written by Craig Johnston, the Liverpool/Australia player.

Pilgrim do you have "Back Home" recorded too. I know it's an old one 1970 I think, but I can remember moaning & groaning when my Mum made me buy it for my little brother at the time. My excuse was, I was too old to go into a record store & embarass myself buying that.

Yes I have 'Back Home' from the 1970 squad. That was very nice of you and your mum to buy that one - some of them are cringingly bad, especially Scotland's efforts which I have for comedy value smile
Still, Ant and Dec's effort for England this year is best left unmentioned!

I hate to admit it but I really liked Back Home & knew all the words. I would sing my head off every time I heard it, but going into a shop to buy it at that age just wasn't the thing to do. The look on my brother Gordon's face though was worth it when I gave it to him. I think he still has it to be honest, but nothing to play ot on any longer.

Well if you or he want to download the MP3 of it, I can upload it onto my web space.
They used the tune for that as the theme to "Fantasy Football League" a few years back. Loved that show with the "Phoenix From the Flames" re-enactments of goals - I thought me and my mates were the only ones who tried that.

Thanks for the offer Pilgrim but after I first mentioned it, I did a search on Kazaa.
Found it, downloaded it, played it a couple of times & had it going around my head all night roll
I should have stayed up & watched the match instead of recording it, then the result wouldn't have been spoilt when I looked on here this morning.
