Well, that was quite a game. After 90 minutes of thinking the US could beat them, I was finally proven wrong.
I'm still wondering why the US's first goal was disallowed and whether, had it been given, the rest of the game would have played out completely differently.
Once again, hats off to Friedel - he has been the star of the team. He's had some luck but the skill is definitely there.
Discovery of the game was the US's 3rd sub on the right wing (Jones?) - lovely attacking runs.
Of the games I've watched, that was the second most entertaining after the Brazil vs Costa Rica game.

And what a complete meltdown by Portugal too. Two sent off and general malaise running through the team. Good luck to the USA. Playing Mexico is probably a good thing - they know each others games so well. witha modicum of luck we could see them in the last eight !!
I saw it to what a game ? ,the first 2 goals cought the US napping Jeff(the Goose)Agoos is getting very slow ,the man has been a Super star for American in the past but now its time to go ,i watched him hes not the player i knew when he played for DC United.
As for Mexico i think the US stand a good change of beating them if they use Beasley and team him with Moore or Mc bride . smile

World cup Any Footy i can watch is fine with me not enought of it by far on American TV .
I agree Friedel ( Blackburn rovers ) is the starof the team to save 2 penalties in world cup matches must be some sort of record.
Cobi Jones (los angeles galaxy) is fast but unfortunatly cannot play for a whole 90 mins
