I don't post much but I read quite a bit and was really surprised to see how many other Brits there are in the Minneapolis area and thought - hey, let's have a party! The reason for this is two-fold...one, so Andy can get his Brit "fix" as he's not slated to go back to the UK any time soon and also so he will help me finish up the redecorating in the front room and foyer. grin

I haven't mentioned it to him yet - I think I'll see how long it takes him to notice I've posted this - but I know he'd be up for it. Since the planning and everything would undoubtedly fall upon my shoulders I'd just like to see if there's an interest before anything is set.

Let us know if any MSP Brits and their families would be interested and we'll plan something soon. We're in Coon Rapids, which is in Anoka county, so you can check out the distance on Mapquest to see if it's close enough for you.
Whoops - this is nataliey, andyy's wife, by the way. Looks like it was signed in as him rather than me.

OK - so this is the real Andyy, not Mrs Y impersonating me.

Jolly good idea though. Those with sprogs could bring them with (note to self make sure dogs are fed prior to tasty^H^H^H^H^H kids arriving).

PS - This whole thread now appears like I'm talking to myself roll
"Jolly good"?

Right then - cheerio, old chums. Smashing good idea, I must say. Tosh and biddle, we shall have an absolute corking time, shan't we?

You're from Manchester - you should say, "Oi, sounds a ripper but if anyone chunders in the hot tub I'll kick yer teeth in! The lads can kick around the football and butt heads while the lasses muck about in the kitchen and serve us Bods." razz
Hi Andy and Natalie,

If only I lived closer you could def. count me in for the party. You two are just too entertaining to miss lol

If you could move Minneapolis closer to PA, I'll come!!!! razz

Looks like it's me you, the kids and the dogs darling. Damn - I really will have to buy dog food now. Great plan though lol

I was in Minneapolis this on monday/tuesday this week, stayed in Plymouth.
I found an English "pub" called Sherlocks home nearby, the place was just OK, but they did have draught Blackthorne cider, and some good home brewed beers.
Have you guys ever been there?

We know of it but haven't been...if anyone wants to babysit the kids and dogs, we'd be happy to try it. However Mrs Y is banned from cider after an incident with some scrumpy in Thirsk a couple of years ago...
