I don't know if anyone else has had this happen recently but the only times I put anything remotely valuable in my suitcase it gets nicked.
I thought I had only had a bottle of wine nicked from my suitcase but now I have just found out that I also lost my Ipod.
It was an old style Ipod mini bought in 2005, and when I put it in my luggage with it's uncharged battery I did for a fleeting moment think someone may nick it but then thought oh, it's so old and invaluable I doubt it.
I wish we could go back to locking our suitcases but the last time I did that I had the locks broken and the suitcase rendered useless. As well as it turning up at 3am in the morning delivered by some psycho who claimed to be subcontracting from United. This is when they "lost" my luggage coming back from Johannesburg.
Just pisses me off that there seems to be no retribution for this.
