What happened? Where did everyone go? Did we all melt in the heatwave or get washed away in floodwaters?

yay! We suffered a few technical difficulties which took a few days to resolve. Anyone interested in contributing to the neverending work Nigel does to try and fix stuff like this might like to consider subscribing or just making a donation. Subscribers get a warm rosy feeling inside, and access to a private forum where some feel inclined to be a little more friendly and share more details about their lives, away from the glare of the google search engine and it's ilk Or is that elk?

Its unseasonable and unpredictable weather here in Oregon too... we went from a late snow to over a hundred dgrees for a few days, then back to cool. Folks say it is the same back home too...

Anyway I am glad we are back, though not having been here for a while, I didn't realise we were missing....

Its only june and the temperatures here are in the top 90s

Oh puhleaze.... you think someone is making money off this? You want it? I'm pretty sure Nigel will be happy to hand over. It's a costly ship to run. When you fork over some dosh to support it, then maybe you'll be entitled to more of an explanation. Of course if you did put your money where your mouth was you'd also be smart enough to put two and two together..... As for rude, I think demanding explanations when you ain't entitled is pretty damn rude. And that arsehole reference of yours.... shit happens is a well known phrase; a is also pretty universal; And you can consider yourself yellow carded.

I can host it on a 99.99% reliable platform and not have to deal with personally generated downtime.
I asked about the downtime because it was extended and I am a tech, and always very curious. Sorry you are embarrassed about the outage, no need to be rude.
