Its taken a while for me to post this .

Our companion cat of 19 years past away last week 7th of may he had cancer .

A large tumor appeared on his back some tiemago and we had it drained continually by the vet only to have it reappear in a matter of weeks the latest one grew to the size of almost a tennis ball and the medical advice we we given was the tests came back positive and he would only live for a matter of time in extreme pain and discomfort . he was extremly old for a feline so the option of surgery was very limited , we made the choice to let him go heart breaking but he will suffer no more .
Some last moments pics where taken plus a lock of his hair which will be mounted in a shadow box when i have a mind to make it .

we adopted him and his mother from a animal shelter june 1990 when he was but a little bundle of joy forever clinging to her for comfort .

mother pearl passed march 2001.

He was a wonderfull companion always greeting us as we walked thou the door with a little sound like a babies cry . Sleeping/ or napping most of the time he wasnt the normal jumping around getting into everything cat more laid back and relaxing just moving about to go about his bisiness of eating and the accasional trip to the poop box .always in the same room as us a constant companion .

We you have had a four legged friend around you night as day for almost 19 years he becomes part of your life and is always part of your plans for day to day activities .. he will be surly missed.

Melanie held him in her arms in his final moments , we had him cremated his remains placed in a urn which will be arranged on a shelf next to his mothers so as to be with us forever .....
Sorry to read that John.

Sounds like Dickens had a great, long life.
So sorry, John. He was fortunate to have had you and Melanie in his life.

Sorry to hear that John. He lived to a ripe old age for a cat.

Mate. Sorry to hear about your puddy. All my best to you and your wife.
sorry, John Sad
That's a long time to have a furry friend. I feel for you.
Commiserations, John.
John..

Sorry a little bit late here, but nonetheless it's amazing how much of a difference these little animals make to our lives...

She obviously liked being where she was for all those years.

I'm late too, but I am sorry John. We lost our last cat at the end of last year and still miss him. His ashes sit on the shelf with urns containing the ashes of our other long gone furry four leggeds.
I understand your grief John... pets become family and it is so hard when they leave us. But you gave your cat a good life and I think that he will live forever in your memory.
