Ah shame Sad

Humph was great on "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue" - lovely, gentle yet incisive sense of humour.

I didn't catch that show except perhaps one or two., I remember him as a great trumpet player in the "Trad" era. Big loss.
I shall miss him and his wicked double entendre. Crying or Very sad
I regret that I only listened to "clue" very recently on CD and thought him amazingly astute and funny. Sorry to know that I discovered him too late, although I have known his name for as long as I can remember.
You shouldn't give away the result in the title, you could at least put spolier.
Sad.
i used to listen to his jazz band at verious venues in the 50/60 s .

he and chris barber used to be the pulse of british jazz bands in there revival of new orleans jazz in the mid part of the 20th century .

monty sunshine is another great who cames to mind from that period

William, please do not text. As to Humphrey, google him, you will then understand why we adored him. No help needed for anyone , nothing can be done about the man with the scytheVery Happy
